The High Definition Big Band is an American big band led by jazz trumpeter & composer Ron Meza, an active performer in Los Angeles and Paris.
Ron has been an international jazz ambassador for the past 25 years fronting his award winning big band the High Definition Big Band. He brings the City of Angels to the City of Lights where the idea of sharing American Jazz Culture has been a mainstay of the band since 1988. One highlight was being the guest big band, backing the Four Tops & the Temptations, at the grand opening of EuroDisney in April of 1992. How better to be an American in Paris?
Benefiting from Ron's deep ties to the musical scenes in L.A and New York, the HD-BB also serves as a hub for touring american artists (both singers and instrumentalists), passing through Europe, in need of a good hard swinging american big band. Staffed with several highly experienced expat americans, the High Definition Big Band offers up something that is nearly impossible to find in Europe : Authentic American Jazz Culture. One word sums it up. SWING!

The High Definition Big Band was featured on the French Canadian TV show called Paris Bouche à Bouche in August 2009 on the Evasion TV channel in Quebec.
